According to investigators from the 'AG Fama' unit at the Federal Criminal Police Office, former Wirecard board member Jan Marsalek is now considered a suspected Russian agent. Orlin Roussev leads a spy cell operating from London for Marsalek. The chats document how Christo Grozev, a Russia-critical investigative journalist living in Vienna until February 2023, was surveilled by Roussev's six-person team.
Marsalek, under the pseudonym 'Rupert Tiecz', was informed in detail about the angle at which telescopes were installed in a specially rented apartment opposite Grozev's residence. The men discussed a break-in at Grozev's apartment, during which a laptop was stolen from a safe, transported via Sofia to Istanbul, and allegedly picked up there by a representative of the Russian domestic intelligence service FSB. The evidence linking the stolen laptop directly to the FSB remains unclear.
I never thought that German trains could be delayed by 30 minutes.
Marsalek reported having 'just enjoyed a great training with the Alpha people', referring to FSB specialists used for covert operations, according to investigators. The specific identity and training purpose of these 'Alpha people' is not known. Former BVT department head Martin Weiss, allegedly working for Russian intelligence, was briefly arrested on January 24, 2021, and then released on the order of the Vienna Public Prosecutor's Office.
' Three additional trial days have been scheduled until May 20.
Glory Glory Hallelujah.
