In Skaraborg, a man in his 30s was sentenced to eight years in prison for multiple rapes and gross exploitation of a child for sexual posing against a teenage relative, according to court documents. The abuse occurred both online and in a caravan across various parts of Sweden. The man contacted the victim's mother expressing a wish to meet the child, leading to contact via phone and video calls before they met in early 2025.

During the summer, the mother attempted to limit contact, but the pair continued communicating without her knowledge. The child psychiatric emergency department (BUP) made it a condition for the girl's discharge that she not meet the man again. She was later reported missing by her mother; the man had picked her up outside a store and lived with her in his caravan, isolated from society.

The rapes included video calls where he forced her to penetrate herself while he recorded, at least five times. During these calls, she was forced to urinate in a plastic box and put her panties in her mouth; he also made her insert panties into her vagina before penetration. In the caravan, he tied her arms and legs to a bed and performed oral and vaginal intercourse, penetrated her anally with a sex toy, inserted fingers while she urinated, and filmed her standing naked and urinating.

Days before arrest, she was tied with handcuffs and blindfolded, had a gag ball in her mouth, and he performed vaginal and anal intercourse and other sexual acts comparable to intercourse. Large parts of the abuse were filmed and saved on devices and hard drives belonging to the man, totaling 59 hours of material where children are exploited in a particularly ruthless manner. The victim has diagnoses of autism and ADHD and has been in long-term contact with BUP; there are also suspicions of intellectual disability.

The district court found that the man exploited the victim's maturity, ill health, and his own authority as an older relative. The exact nature of the familial relationship has not been disclosed. In Luleå, a 41-year-old French citizen was sentenced to three years in prison for child rape and will be deported after serving his sentence, according to the court.

He met a girl under 15 via a dating app where she claimed to be 19, and they had sex at a hotel. The girl called the children's rights organization Bris while locked in a room, and the counselor alerted police, but her number was hidden so she couldn't be traced immediately. Police located her via social media positioning in northern Sweden, called nearby hotels, and hotel staff remembered a girl checking in with an older man; police arrested the man at the hotel.

Shortly before checking in, the man searched online for the age of sexual consent in Sweden. He admitted to intercourse but denied crime, claiming he didn't know she was under 15 and that she said she was 19. The girl told police she met other men who subjected her to violence; there is no connection between the men, according to prosecutor Kristin Andersson.

The Bris call led to three preliminary investigations: one man cleared, one detained for gross child rape, and one conviction. In a separate case in late January, a man was arrested and detained for a rape at a hotel in Luleå after having intercourse with a girl he met via social media. Hotel staff alerted police when they heard a young girl sounding scared in a room; the man admitted they had sex and was arrested.

The man claimed he thought the girl was 20, but the court ruled he must have realized the risk she was underage; it was nearly obvious she was not 20. He must pay 245,000 SEK in damages to the girl. In Gävle, a substitute teacher was sentenced to seven years in prison for gross sexual crimes against 27 girls, according to the court.

The man was also convicted of gross exploitation of a child for sexual posing, sexual molestation of a child, sexual assault of a child, and exploitation of a child for sexual posing; he was acquitted in some cases. He worked at a school and was charged with 50 sexual crimes against 27 girls aged 9 to 14, committed online from 2020 to 2025. A former S-politician from Värmland was sentenced to five years in prison for child pornography offenses, five cases of sexual assault against two children, and child rape, according to the court.

He contacted victims on social media, asked for pictures and videos for payment, and urged them to perform sexual acts on themselves; all incidents occurred online. He admitted all charges except child rape. He left his political assignment when the events were revealed.

A man in his 20s from Luleå was sentenced to six years in prison for 26 child rapes and must pay several million in damages, according to the court. He contacted children mainly via Snapchat, instructed them to perform abuse on themselves, and saved the material; he was charged with 95 sexual crimes against 35 children aged 8-14 between 2023 and 2025, convicted of 80 crimes. A man in his 50s was convicted of a 20-year-old gross child rape that emerged during an investigation for suspected sexual crimes against another child last autumn, according to the court.

He denies the crime, but the court found his vague story a reconstruction while the victim's account was credible; he gave her an expensive gift, which the court found incriminating. 5 years in prison and 315,000 SEK in damages. In Oxelösund, a man and a woman met after talking for months; in the backseat of a car, he raped her, according to the court.

The woman's account is supported by photos of injuries and is detailed and consistent; the man denies crime, claiming it was voluntary, but his account is vague. A former politician in a northern municipality was involved in a case.
