Nyckelpunkter
  • Multiple violent incidents across Scandinavia, including fights, reported gunfire, and arson.
  • Police responded to fights on public transport, in public spaces, and residential areas.
  • False alarms included a film shoot mistaken for an assault and a parking disagreement.

In Tromsdalen, northern Norway, police dispatched several patrols to a violent incident perceived as a fight between multiple people, according to operations leader Robin Åsheim Lindberg. Multiple injuries were reported. In Uppsala, Sweden, police received calls about several loud bangs in the Sävja district just before midnight.

Witnesses reported at least four loud bangs, and patrols searched the area. In Oslo, police responded with large forces to Holmlia late Tuesday evening after reports of shots fired. Operations leader Per-Ivar Iversen said the incident occurred between Holmlia center and Holmlia school, no one was injured, and nothing confirming a shooting was found, though several vehicles were seen and the area was actively searched.

Fights on public transport and in public spaces were also reported. In Köping, a call came in about people arguing on a train; police responded and checked several individuals. A person not involved in the argument was hit, and a report of assault is being filed.

On Hjulkvarnelundsvägen, a fight broke out on a bus. In the A6 area, two people were arrested after a fight, and at a hamburger restaurant in the city center, an incident involved violent resistance and molestation. Assaults and disturbances occurred in residential and event areas.

Police were dispatched to Östra Odensala due to a reported fight with several people involved outside an address. In Midsommarkransen, a witness reported a disturbance in an apartment. An alarm was received about an assault at a funfair.

In Skänninge, a fight had multiple witnesses, but as of 18:30, no one had been detained, according to police duty officer Tim Thoren. In Norrköping's Hageby area, police were called after reports of people fighting; police spokesperson Olle Älveroth said someone had been punched with a fist, but no suspect was found and police were still working in the area. At Stortorget, police were sent to a fight outside a hamburger restaurant; two victims and witnesses were found, and one person was apprehended.

The assault involved kicks and blows, but neither victim required acute medical care. All involved are men aged 20-25, and the origin of the fight is unknown. In Trondheim, police responded to a fight near Vår frue kirke in Midtbyen on Wednesday morning.

Operations leader Kirsten Haugen Bergstrøm said two people were fighting and several others joined in, but the fight had stopped shortly after police were alerted. Police spoke with the victim and found no visible injuries. The first report came at 10:40.

In Asker, police responded to a fight at a gas station on Monday evening. Operations leader Eirik Sannes said several firearms were seized, and several people reported seeing a knife. Police had control of several people and were searching for more.

False alarms and misunderstandings also drew police resources. In Gothenburg, multiple calls reported an ongoing assault with several people kicking a person on the ground at Masthuggskajen, but it turned out to be a scene from a film shoot. Police left with a sharp reminder to notify them next time.

In Eskilstuna, police were called to a traffic accident on Gillbergaleden, but upon arrival, found the motorists had not collided and were in a disagreement in a parking lot. In Kvidinge, there was a fight on board a train. Arson attacks targeted businesses in Malmö.

Shortly after 05:00, an attack on a restaurant on Nobelvägen occurred; the entrance door was smashed with an object, and something smoldered but did not burn inside, according to duty officer Jerker Olsson. A few hours earlier, at least one window of a grocery store was smashed and a smaller fire broke out, classified as arson; a flammable liquid was used, not an explosive. Both incidents are classified as arson, and no suspects have been arrested.

In Hyllie, two 18-year-olds were arrested for suspected attempted aggravated arson after police surveillance cameras observed them trying to smash a restaurant window and failing; they were stopped in a car and items related to the crime were found. In Ängelholm, two men were arrested after a police operation on Rönnegatan following a fight between several people at lunchtime the previous Wednesday, but they have since been released.
