In Plumstead, south-east London, a police chase ended in a massive crash on Ancona Road in the early hours of Monday. , but the driver failed to stop, leading to a short pursuit. The fleeing car then collided with a number of parked vehicles on the quiet residential street.

m. and the driver, a man in his 30s, ran from the car but was apprehended by officers and arrested for various offences. He was taken to hospital due to injuries sustained in the collision and later released into police custody, where he remains.

Police recovered an amount of suspected class A drugs from the car. Residents were awoken by an almighty crash and found the worst collision they have ever seen. Doorbell footage captured the moment the vehicle lost control, and photos from the following morning show a white Fiat lying on its side on the pavement, entirely mangled.

Resident Naddia Khan described the damage to her mother's Fiat as horrendous, adding that six vehicles were completely written off. The driver ploughed directly into at least three cars, with the Fiat thrown metres into the air. Other cars were shunted down the road and had their doors ripped clean off.

We were all asleep and woke up to the sound of a big crash at 2am. We were really shaken up, and still are.

A cordon closed off the section as police inspected the twisted metal. In Bradford, a police pursuit ended in a crash on Leeds Road just after midnight on Saturday. West Yorkshire Police said a Volkswagen Golf failed to stop for officers and was immediately involved in a collision with a Skoda.

Two men in the Golf were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the man in the Skoda was treated for a leg injury. The West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service reported that two cars were involved, with one person trapped in each vehicle. Firefighters carried out an extrication and casualties were transferred to hospital by ambulance.

Two appliances from Bradford attended. Enquiries remain ongoing by the Roads Policing Unit. On Sunday evening, a report of a reckless driver north of Norrköping, Sweden, developed into a prolonged police chase along the E4.

Motorists had alerted police to a car being driven at extremely high speed and in a dangerous manner. Police deployed spike strips, but the driver refused to stop and continued past Linköping and Gränna. The chase ended near the Gunneryd rest area, between Gränna and Huskvarna, when the driver was forced to slow down at a road work site and collided with another motorist before crashing into the work area.

The fiat involved is my mum's. It was the worse collision any of us have ever seen, with seven cars damaged - and six of them written off.

Police patrols quickly intervened and arrested the man, who is in his 40s and now in custody. No personal injuries were reported. During the night, police in Halmstad attempted to check a car on the E6, but the driver refused to stop and fled at high speed.

The pursuit continued for several miles down to Helsingborg, where the car crashed. The driver, who was alone in the car, was found unconscious, according to duty officer Morten Gunneng. Police suspected the driver was under the influence and saw him throw objects from the car during the chase.

Gunneng stated that police have reason to believe the objects may be weapons, or at least do not rule it out. The driver was formally arrested on suspicion of negligence in traffic and drunk driving, and additional charges may be added. The injury situation remains unknown.

In Bollnäs, a patrol noticed a vehicle being driven on a pedestrian path in the town centre and attempted a check. The driver did not stop, initiating a pursuit. During the chase, the vehicle drove into a wall at the railway station and temporarily stopped, but when the patrol approached, the driver reversed and repeatedly drove into the police car before the pursuit resumed.

This has never happened in this area as far as I know - it's a horrific incident.

It continued a short distance before the vehicle collided with a tree. One person was arrested at the scene. The patrol filed a report regarding theft of a vehicle, aggravated drunk driving, aggravated reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed driving, a minor drug offense, and failure to stop at a police signal.

The driver, a man in his 30s, is now detained and the case is led by a prosecutor. m. Five minutes later, officers observed the vehicle in Heimdal centre.

After a short pursuit lasting about one minute over a kilometre, the driver lost control and the car collided with a lamppost and rolled over. Police arrived shortly after and gained control of two people in the car, who were taken by ambulance to St. Olav for a health check.

The driver fled north on highway 26 and then past Stöpen and Ulvåker, continuing on county road 200 south before stopping south of Krokebro. According to police press spokesperson Jennifer Last, the driver reached speeds of 120 km/h on a 40 km/h road and up to 190 km/h. Police noted there was low traffic intensity at the time.

The driver, a man in his 25s, was taken to hospital for tests and is suspected of drunk driving, negligence in traffic, and failing to stop for a police signal. On the night to Monday, a car chase broke out on E18 in Västerås after a car refused to stop for a check. The pursuit lasted about ten minutes and involved high speeds, with police attempting to force the vehicle off the road.

Eventually, officers stopped the car with a spike mat and arrested the driver, a man in his 40s. He is suspected of gross illegal driving, gross negligence in traffic, drunk driving, and drug offenses, and was also wanted for previous criminal activity. No one was physically injured during the operation.

In Eskilstuna, a police chase on E20 in March is now under investigation as suspected misconduct. Seven police officers were injured when police forced a car off the road at Valhalla. The chase reportedly reached speeds of up to 200 kilometres per hour in the middle of the day.

Three police cars were towed from the scene. The driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital. The investigation is ongoing.

Other incidents include a large police operation in Knivsta with multiple units and a helicopter, children reported playing on the E20 at Vretstorp, a burglary arrest in which two men were detained, a 10-year-old boy hit by a car in Skärholmen, and a fire in a villa on Stora Essingen. In Stockholm, a 42-year-old man was sentenced to three years and six months in prison for a fatal 2023 accident on Nockebybron that killed a 16-year-old boy and injured a 15-year-old girl.
