Wales' final Six Nations home game against Italy will be played in Cardiff on March 14. For this match, Transport for Wales is testing a new travel plan where fans who usually travel home from Cardiff Central station will be directed to Cardiff Queen Street station, which is around a 15-minute walk from the stadium. The change is due to preparation for redevelopment work at the rear of Cardiff Central station, as part of the station enhancements project and the Cardiff Crossrail programme, with the space previously used for post-match queuing no longer available.

The trial will result in a longer walk for fans taking the Valleys and Vale lines, but shorter waits and faster boarding with individual route queues. Queueing will start from 6pm at both stations, and accessibility assistance will continue at Cardiff Central. Passengers for stations like Aber, Barry, and Caerphilly will be directed to Cardiff Queen Street.

' She concluded, 'These changes give us the opportunity to engage with our customers more effectively on the day, with teams on the ground making sure everyone gets to the right place. ' It is not known how many fans will be affected or what specific improvements are expected from the trial.
