The incident occurred in Wyken, Coventry shortly before 4am on Friday, March 6. 55am. The ambulance service described the sustained injuries as 'potentially serious', though police think the injuries are not 'life threatening'.

55am. 58am, with two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car attending the scene. On arrival, they discovered two patients, who had also been assaulted following the road traffic collision.

They were both treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to hospital for further assessment. Police have launched an investigation into the incident. The identities of those involved in the fight with weapons remain unknown, as does the specific cause of the initial collision between the two cars.

According to West Midlands Police, one of the vehicles involved was a white Kia Sorento which sustained damage before making off, and they are trying to locate this car. A scene is currently in place while enquiries continue, and police remain keen to hear from anyone with information, particularly any dashcam footage.
