A fatal crash occurred on the A370 Long Ashton bypass between the roundabout junction with Colliters Way, the A4174 South Bristol Link Road, on the edge of Bristol and the B3130 turn-off for Nailsea at Flax Bourton. According to Avon and Somerset Police, police were called at around 7:45 PM to a two-vehicle collision on the A370 at Yanley, near Long Ashton. However, some unverified reports describe the incident as a four-vehicle crash, indicating potential discrepancies in early accounts.

The cause of the crash has not been determined, and it remains unknown if any arrests have been made or suspects identified. Despite the efforts of emergency personnel on the scene, the drivers of both cars sadly died.
