Emma Raducanu has climbed to world number 24 in the WTA rankings, but she has also slid down five places to world number 28 after missing the Miami Open due to illness, according to reports. She has rejoined forces with coach Mark Petchey ahead of her comeback at Indian Wells this week, following a separation from coach Francisco Roig after a six-month run, sources indicate. Raducanu reached her first final since her 2021 US Open triumph at the Transylvania Open in February 2026, losing to Sorana Cirstea 6-0, 6-2, but she suffered a second-round departure at the Australian Open in 2026, as per tournament records. She reached a career-high ranking of world number 10 in July 2022, tumbled to a low ranking of world number 285 towards the tail end of 2023, and made it to the quarter-finals of the Miami Open last year, based on WTA data. Raducanu hasn't been in action since a second-round defeat to Amanda Anisimova at Indian Wells at the beginning of March 2026, tournament officials noted.

Emma Navarro fell from world number 15 at the start of 2026 to 25th by March 2026, and she lost in the round of 16 to Zhang Shuai at the Merida Open last week, according to match results. Navarro has lost her opening match in each of her last three WTA tournament appearances, as reported by the WTA. Her father, Ben Navarro, is worth approximately £1.12 billion ($1.5 billion) according to Forbes, and she is one of four children in line to inherit a piece of the £2.4 billion financial empire built by her father, based on Forbes estimates. Navarro has accumulated career prize earnings of $5,862,102 (£4,375,180) according to the WTA.
