Bristol Bears has suspended Will Capon from all club activities. The Crown Prosecution Service states that Will Capon has been charged with one count of rape. He appeared in court on Friday.
Will Capon was accused of the assault in Exeter in September 2021. He denied the charge when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court last week. Will Capon will stand trial at Exeter Crown Court in September next year.

He has been granted unconditional bail. The exact nature of the alleged assault in Exeter in September 2021 has not been disclosed. Will Capon has not featured since May last year due to a knee injury.
