Zecira Musovic, a Swedish national team goalkeeper, has returned to playing football less than eight months after giving birth to her daughter Zarah. She reportedly thought she would have to quit football to start a family ten years ago. Musovic moved from Chelsea in England to Malmö FF in Sweden this summer, citing a preference for being near family in Helsingborg over living alone in London.
She made her comeback in a training match in February and in the Swedish Cup in March. In a separate report, Amanda Persson, a 27-year-old player for Östers IF, has also returned to football as a new mother, inspired by other players managing pregnancies during their careers.
