Zach Giuttari is reportedly set to leave Växjö Lakers and join Linköping for the next SHL season. According to reports from Expressen, the American defenseman has signed with Linköping starting with the 26/27 season. Giuttari, who is nearly 30 years old, has played for Växjö Lakers for three seasons since joining in 2023.
Linköping is currently struggling near the bottom of the SHL standings and lacks right-handed defensemen in its lineup, with only Jonathan Myrenberg available this season. For next season, the team reportedly had no right-handed defensemen under contract before this move. With Giuttari's addition, Linköping's defensive roster for next season will include Oscar Fantenberg, Theodor Lennström, David Bernhardt, Max Martin, Mikko Kokkonen, Melvin Nilsson, Felix Öhrqvist, and Zach Giuttari.
