Paulina Gammon and her husband Stanley, both now 21, saved between £1,000 and £1,500 each per month from their combined monthly income of £3,600. They lived with their respective parents, paying minimal rent of £100 and £170, and cut back on dining out, nights out, and clothing purchases. Paulina works as cabin crew and Stanley as an aircraft engineer.

They started saving in January 2024 after Paulina's parents decided to sell their home and return to Poland. The couple placed a £169,000 offer on a three-bedroom, three-bathroom property. According to Daily Express - Finance, Paulina said nobody believed them initially and many assumed the funds came from their parents.

She explained they chose not to rent because it costs nearly the same as a mortgage.
