Despite Louise filing police reports for all the letters over the three-year period, no investigation has been initiated, according to the report. Thomas Johansson, press spokesperson for Polisregion Syd, explained that investigating hate mail is challenging, stating that to hold someone accountable, police need concrete evidence like DNA or fingerprints linking a specific person to the letters.

Louise expressed feeling betrayed by the police response, noting that the letters have continued to arrive despite her reports. Both Louise and Max have chosen not to disclose their surnames in connection with the case.
