Pamela Nance was 22 years old and preparing for her final archaeology exams when the incident occurred. In April 1990, she experienced stomach pain while working at a gourmet restaurant, which she later discovered was due to a burst blood vessel causing internal bleeding. The evening after the stomach pain, she went out for dinner with her husband and vomited blood upon returning home, but she brushed it off because she had consumed cherry sauce and red wine.
The next morning, she felt severely nauseous and thirsty, asked her husband to bring her a soda, then collapsed and became unresponsive. Pamela Nance's husband heard her collapse and immediately called emergency services. She claims that during her near-death experience, she found herself in a landscape with snowcapped mountains, a verdant valley, and vibrant, indescribable colors.
I asked him to bring me back a soda as he came back to town because that's something we typically don't keep in the house. And I turned to go into a little half bathroom — and that's the last thing I remembered. It was lights out for me.
She claims she felt like an energetic part of the environment, not a physical form, during her near-death experience. Pamela Nance also claims she was reunited with her deceased Rottweiler, Holly, during her near-death experience, and her dog Holly had passed away on the same day she experienced the stomach pain. The medical diagnosis or official cause for her collapse and near-death experience has not been confirmed, and it is unclear how she was revived or what treatment was involved.
And people talk about the colours on the other side as being indescribable and this is absolutely true. What I experienced goes beyond human description. The colours were so vibrant, so beautiful, so encompassing. I felt as though I was part of this environment, that I was really not a physical form any longer, that I was an energetic part of the whole scene.
I could feel the love coming from all of these animals, it was the most beautiful feeling and belonging. I had no thoughts of my physical form or my physical life. I was there and I knew that was where I was supposed to be and belonged with these beautiful creatures that loved me.
