One of the football pitches at the Vidingeskans sports ground in Rottne, Sweden, is currently unusable due to damage caused by wild boars. The football club Rottne IF stated on its Facebook page that the pitch is destroyed and needs help to be repaired. On March 14, the club is calling for anyone who can to come and assist.
The club's chairman, Emil Bolmgren, told P4 Kronoberg that a major effort is required to make the pitch playable this year. The club had plans to install fencing around the pitches to prevent wild boar damage, and those plans are now being prioritized.
