Värnamo Golfklubb in Sweden has suffered damage just before the season is set to begin. A wild boar has entered the golf course and dug up areas around seven to eight holes, despite 12 kilometers of electric fencing around the facility. The club, which is the home course for golf professional Louise Rydqvist and has a total of 27 holes, is using volunteer efforts to repair the damage, but it requires many hours of work to lift back the turf.

The club has attempted to catch the boar with the help of hunters, but it has so far managed to evade capture. The incident was first reported by P4 Jönköping.
