A villa and garage near Matfors in Sundsvalls municipality caught fire on Wednesday evening, with the blaze completely engulfing the structures by the time rescue services arrived. According to SVT Västernorrland, the fire alarm came around 10 PM, and rescue services were on scene by 10:20 PM.
A rescue service operator told SVT that both the villa and garage were 'completely engulfed' in flames, and firefighters had begun external firefighting efforts to protect nearby buildings. SOS Alarm reported around 11 PM that multiple ambulances had been at the scene, and two people were transported by ambulance to hospital for medical care.
