The regional board of Västra Götalandsregionen (VGR) has decided on the annual report for 2025, which is ready to be taken up at the next full council meeting. The report shows that accessibility to healthcare improved in 2025, with shorter waiting times for both visits and operations. VGR reported a financial result of 510 million kronor, but after excluding the value development of financial investments, it landed at -351 million kronor.
The annual report is more comprehensive than the financial statement communication released in early February, describing what VGR achieved during the year relative to the regional council's budget and based on reporting from committees and boards.
