The tour around Lake Mälaren with the Association Sörmland's Veteran Railway had its premiere in brilliant spring weather, according to sources. The passengers were pulled forward by a real workhorse – a so-called brown locomotive. Veteran tours have gone around Lake Mälaren with steam locomotives in previous years and with other organizers, but this was the first time under the direction of the association FSVJ.
Pre-booked passengers were picked up at stops including Eskilstuna, Västerås, and Stockholm Central. The exact route and duration of the tour around Lake Mälaren have not been disclosed. " The association FSVJ plans to further develop the tour with an electric train to increase speed.
