The Växjö municipal council has decided to adopt a detailed plan for a new residential area in the municipality, according to local media reports. The development, to be called 'Soltomten', will be located in Ingelstad and is planned to include 21 municipal villa plots and two blocks for smaller multi-family houses. The decision means planning for the new residential area can now proceed, with sales reportedly scheduled to begin in 2027.
The approval comes amid broader regional housing development activity, with neighboring areas also advancing residential expansion plans to accommodate population growth.
