Over 280 people from Västmanland are registered for Sunday's 102nd edition of the Vasaloppet cross-country ski race. One participant is Ebba Räms, a 20-year-old from Västerås, who aims to test her endurance by skiing the full distance to Mora. She hopes to complete the race in a good time and looks forward to the blueberry soup served along the route.
Räms is a goalkeeper for BK30 in her daily life and believes her fearlessness could be an asset in the race. She began training for the Vasaloppet in November, fitting sessions around her football, work, and family commitments, typically on Sundays. None of her teammates are participating, but they are supporting her.
Räms wants to see if she can manage the race with minimal training.
