A Värmland restaurant owner has been formally charged with raping a child at his own restaurant, according to Swedish public broadcaster SVT Värmland. The man was initially arrested in November on suspicion of the crime and has now been indicted.
Prosecutor Emil Danielsson Nykänen stated that police have done 'an incredible job' in the investigation. According to the indictment, the restaurant owner is accused of orally and digitally raping the girl. The evidence reportedly includes surveillance footage, chat messages, and DNA results.
The evidence is really good
'The evidence is really good,' said prosecutor Nykänen in his statement to SVT. The restaurant owner denies the charges against him.
The main trial proceedings are expected to begin on March 11. The case involves serious allegations of sexual assault against a minor at the suspect's business premises.
