World number one tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, 27, has announced her engagement to Brazilian businessman Georgios Frangulis, 37, according to reports from Swedish sports media. The couple reportedly got engaged on Tuesday, March 3, with Sabalenka sharing the news on Instagram with the caption "Du och jag för alltid" ("You and me forever").
Sabalenka, currently ranked as the world's best women's tennis player, has won the US Open twice and the Australian Open twice during her career. Her fiancé Frangulis is an entrepreneur who founded the health food company Oakberry and sponsors the Haas Formula 1 team. According to reports, Frangulis is worth approximately one billion kronor.

The couple began appearing together publicly in spring 2024, with Frangulis seen in Sabalenka's player box during the Rome Masters tournament. Sabalenka reportedly shared a video of the proposal moment on Instagram with the caption "Äntligen kan jag kalla honom något annat... FÄSTMAN" ("Finally I can call him something else... FIANCÉ").
This engagement comes after a difficult period for Sabalenka, whose ex-boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov, a former NHL player for the Pittsburgh Penguins, died in March 2024 in what police described as an apparent suicide. Sabalenka had previously described his death as "very emotional and stressful."
