Varberg municipality is organizing free public lectures on codependency and family relationships on April 14-15, 2026, according to an official press release. The events will feature Ida Högström, who has been running the Medberoendepodden podcast and social media account since 2015. Högström works daily to help people suffering from codependency while providing public education on the topic through lectures and training.
On April 14, she will lecture for employees of the Social Services Administration's Individual and Family department. The following day, April 15, the general public is invited to attend a free lecture at Rotundan, Arena Varberg. The lecture is aimed at those who identify as relatives or codependent, those who believe they grew up in or live in dysfunctional families or relationships, those close to such individuals, and anyone curious to learn more about the subject.
Mathias Davidsson, unit manager at Bolmen Treatment Team in Varberg's Social Services Administration, is the contact person for media inquiries or attendance requests.
