President Donald Trump signed an executive order reportedly aimed at ending this right for children of parents illegally in the country. The order was one of his first actions upon returning to the White House in January 2025. Lower courts, including one in New Hampshire, have blocked the decision, leading to further legal proceedings that have now reached the Supreme Court.
Trump is expected to attend the hearing. A ruling is anticipated this summer.
