Hugg reportedly asked the journalist, 'You're not a spy, right?' before disclosing information. He allegedly provided details of military actions in Iran and discussed the use of nerve agents by the United States. Hugg also mentioned that strikes in Iran caused the death of children, which he characterized as 'collateral damage'.

Hugg was escorted out of the Pentagon and placed on administrative leave pending an investigation, Army spokesperson Cynthia O Smith confirmed. 'We have placed Mr Hugg on administrative leave while we conduct a thorough investigation into this matter,' Smith said in a statement.

Separately, Department of Homeland Security counterterrorism official Julia Varvaro was placed on administrative leave over a 'sugar daddy' scandal. A man identified as Robert B filed a complaint claiming he spent $40,000 on Varvaro after meeting her on Hinge. According to Metro - Main, Varvaro denied wrongdoing, stating she was in an exclusive relationship with Robert B.

In another development, Byron Noem, husband of former homeland security secretary Kristi Noem, allegedly engaged in online 'bimbofication' fetish content, according to Metro - Main.
