Uppsala students qualify for Swedish Skills Championship

Yrkes-SM is a competition where vocational students from across the country compete in trade-based contests, organized by WorldSkills Sweden in collaboration with regional partners. The competitions have been held every two years since 2004. Trades competed in include tiling, painting, sheet metal work, and truck driving, according to multiple reports.

Among the participants is 19-year-old Emil Karlsson from Herrljunga, the local hope in the truck driving category. Karlsson is in his final year of the vehicle and transport program at Lagmansgymnasiet in Vara. According to Borås Tidning, a reporter described that teacher Thomas Sällberg will not be nervous – not like Emil.
