Larysa and Oleksee Tsykalenko, who escaped their home on February 24, 2022, now work at a cable factory in Arvika and have settled into a daily routine that includes picking up their children from school.

The family's life changed dramatically when they woke to the sound of explosions on the morning the war began. "We lived in a city where there was a military airport, so it was one of the targets from the beginning," Larysa Tsykalenko reportedly said. The following day, they packed their belongings and began their journey to safety.
