Key Points
  • David Wilcock died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound outside his home on April 20.
  • Police responded to a 911 call about a mental health crisis; Wilcock died at the scene.
  • Wilcock had previously stated he was not suicidal and that natural causes were the only acceptable death.

The Sheriff's Office stated that no other individuals were found inside the residence or on the surrounding property. The death has been ruled a suicide, but the circumstances have sparked suspicion among supporters and some members of Congress.

In the hours before his death, Wilcock had made contradictory statements. On social media, he posted that he was not suicidal, writing, "I plan on LIVING. Not suicidal at all. Just concerned about what happens when you prove God is real." During a livestream on April 19, he said that natural causes were the only acceptable way of dying, adding, "You don't get to resurrect. If you lay down your life, you're done. So, please don't do that. Please don't be stupid."

Within minutes of deputies’ arrival, he used the weapon on himself. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Despite these statements, Wilcock's death has led to allegations of murder or coercion from supporters and some members of Congress. According to Daily Mail - Science & Tech, Tennessee Congressman Tim Burchett expressed doubt that the death was coincidental, describing it as unlikely to be just coincidental. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna of Florida also commented on the death, though the nature of her comment has not been disclosed.

Unnamed social media users have voiced suspicions, with one stating, "There's no way I believe David willingly did this to himself. Something stinks to high heaven," and another claiming, "He has never ever been suicidal, that is complete BS. This was murder." However, authorities have not released any evidence supporting these allegations, and no ongoing investigations beyond the initial police response have been confirmed.

I just don't think there's any chance that this is just all coincidental.

The 911 caller and the specific content of the call remain unknown, as does whether Wilcock left a suicide note or any other indication of his state of mind. The Boulder County Sheriff's Office has not commented further on the case.
