Two individuals previously detained as suspects in the murder of Göran in Luleå are being sought for detention again, according to reports from local media. Prosecutor Joseph Ricken submitted the detention request to Luleå District Court on March 20, 2026. The case involves a man in his 60s, currently in custody in Skövde, and a woman in her 50s who is detained in Luleå.

The woman denies the crime and contested the detention. Luleå District Court decided to detain the woman on probable grounds of suspicion for murder and gross violation of a grave. She is detained until April 17, 2026.

The murder investigation began in early December 2025 when remains were found in Göran's burned-out car on the outskirts of a village outside Luleå. According to prosecutor Martin Skagerstrand, authorities are confident the remains belong to Göran. The suspects had previously been detained in connection with the case but are now facing renewed detention requests.
