Two separate traffic incidents occurred on the E4 highway near Tierp, Sweden, in early April 2026, causing disruptions and leading to police involvement. According to Uppsala Nya Tidning, a car breakdown on April 6 created traffic problems on E4 between the Tierp and Månkarbo interchanges in the direction toward Stockholm. The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) reported that recovery of a passenger car in the right lane was causing the disruption.
The incident was reported at 12:39 on Monday, with traffic expected to be affected until approximately 13:10. Separately, Kuriren reported on April 7 that a 16-year-old driving an A-tractor (EPA tractor) was rear-ended by a light truck on E4 near Måttsund, causing the tractor to roll into a ditch. The driver of the light truck has been reported to police for traffic offenses related to the collision.
Traffic police stated there was no doubt the light truck driver caused the accident by hitting the A-tractor from behind.
