Two pile-ups occurred on the E18/E20 outside Glanshammar in the direction of Arboga on Friday afternoon. According to SOS Alarm, three cars were involved in the first pile-up, then two more crashed. One person was taken by ambulance to a hospital after complaining of neck pain.
When rescue services arrived at the scene at around 13:30, there was a total traffic stoppage on the road. The Swedish Transport Administration has now opened one lane past the accident site and forecasts traffic disruptions until 15:00.
