Two newspapers in Norrbotten will reduce their print publication frequency starting October 1, 2026. Norrbottens-Kuriren will be published three days a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, according to a report from the newspaper. Similarly, Norrländska Socialdemokraten (NSD) will also publish its print edition three days a week on the same days, as reported by the newspaper.
Both newspapers will continue to offer their e-editions six days a week. The changes are reportedly due to shifting reader habits and increased costs for printing and distribution, with a majority of subscribers now consuming news digitally, according to the sources.
