A rescue operation began on Thursday afternoon after two people fell through the ice in Hjalmaren lake near Vinon in Orebro municipality. m. Rescue services, police, and ambulance were sent to the scene.
The Sea Rescue Society and a local fire brigade also participated in the operation. One person got to land and ran to a house for help, while the other remained in the water. The Sea Rescue Society retrieved the person from the water, and both have now been taken by ambulance.
The extent of injuries is currently unclear.
