Two men from Jämtland County have been charged with serious drug offenses following a police investigation in Krokom, Sweden. According to SVT Jämtlandsnytt, the suspects are a 32-year-old man from Krokom municipality and a 35-year-old man from Östersund municipality.
The investigation began in November when police arrested the 32-year-old outside a supermarket in Östersund. A subsequent search of his home in Krokom, conducted with the help of a police dog unit, uncovered significant quantities of drugs. Police reportedly found one kilogram of amphetamine, 40 grams of cocaine, and 360 grams of hashish in the man's house and work vehicle, along with 20,000 kronor in cash.
At the home of the 35-year-old suspect, police seized a smaller quantity of drugs and 62,000 kronor in cash. Additionally, authorities confiscated a large amount of designer clothing, computers, and related equipment valued at nearly 167,000 kronor. The prosecutor alleges that the 35-year-old used drug money to purchase these luxury items.
Both men are accused of acquiring drugs in Stockholm in October 2025 and transporting them to Krokom for resale. The prosecutor also claims they made a similar trip in July 2025 to purchase 500 grams of hashish for distribution.
During interrogations, the 32-year-old reportedly confessed to the charges against him, while the 35-year-old admitted only to drug possession for personal use but denied involvement in drug sales. The prosecutor has requested that the confiscated goods be forfeited.
