Two people have been sentenced in connection with the murder of a young man who was shot dead at a bus stop in Eskilstuna last spring. An 18-year-old man was sentenced to 14 years and 4 months in prison for murder. According to the indictment, the man fired at least four close-range shots at the victim while he lay injured on the ground.
The victim, who was in his 20s, was reportedly filmed after being shot, and the video was later shared with others on Snapchat. Two other people, a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, were charged with aiding and abetting. The woman was acquitted, while the man was sentenced for gross protection of a criminal, to 2 years and 6 months in prison.
