Police in Skellefteå have arrested two elderly men following a violent incident at a residence on Sunday evening. According to reports, officers were called to the scene around 9 PM after receiving information about injured individuals at the location.
Upon arrival, police found two men in need of hospital care. Both were conscious and able to speak despite their injuries. The men, reportedly aged in their 70s and 90s, were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities have now launched an investigation into attempted murder or aggravated assault, with both men suspected of committing crimes against each other. Police have confirmed that the individuals have a relationship with one another.
According to SVT Västerbotten, the police assessment indicates this was an isolated incident with no danger to the general public. Both men have been taken into custody and are expected to be interrogated on Monday morning.
