The tree, reportedly 30 meters tall, fell due to storm winds in Satrupholm, near the Danish border, while around 50 people, including many children, were participating.

Four people were trapped under the tree, with a 21-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl dying at the scene, and the baby dying in a hospital. Another young woman was reportedly taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The event was organized by state child and parent care services for those in need.
