Three full-size football goals have been stolen from Rosenlunds IP in Jönköping, according to local authorities. The theft occurred sometime during December or January, with the goals mysteriously disappearing from the fenced storage area at the sports facility.

Peter Hagström, unit manager at Jönköping Municipality's Culture and Leisure Administration, described the theft as "very special" and expressed surprise at how thieves managed to remove the massive goals, which measure 7.32 by 2.44 meters each. "You can't just take them and put them on a trailer," Hagström told Jönköpings-Posten.

The stolen goals are estimated to be worth between 70,000 and 75,000 kronor collectively. Hagström noted this is the first time such an incident has occurred at the facility. The municipality suspects the goals were stolen rather than misplaced, as they were stored in a secured area with gates and fencing during the winter months.

Despite the theft, local football club IK Tord, which uses Rosenlunds IP, will not be affected in their operations. New goals will be purchased before the season begins, with funding expected to come from the municipality's internal insurance fund. The municipality has reported the theft to authorities, though how the large goals were removed remains unclear.
