The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) issued traffic warnings on Saturday, February 28, 2026, for multiple incidents involving moose on the E4 highway in different parts of Sweden. According to Norrländska Socialdemokraten, traffic in both directions on the E4 between Persön and Börjelslandet in Luleå was affected by several moose on the road. The alert came in shortly after 11:00 AM, and Trafikverket estimated traffic would be impacted until 12:30 PM.
Separately, Norrköpings Tidningar reported that traffic was affected by multiple moose moving on or beside the road toward Norrköping on the E4 between Loddby and Norrköping Norra. That warning was issued at 1:47 PM, with traffic expected to be impacted until 3:00 PM. In both cases, Trafikverket assessed the incidents as having minor impact on traffic.
No accidents or injuries were reported in connection with either incident.
