Tottenham Hotspur has taken action against supporters who performed Nazi salutes. The incident reportedly occurred during the away Champions League group stage match against Eintracht Frankfurt in January. Three people have been identified and banned indefinitely by the club.
Tottenham condemned the behavior, stating it does not reflect the club's values. The European football governing body UEFA has fined Tottenham 30,000 euros, equivalent to about 320,000 Swedish kronor, for racist and/or discriminatory behavior. According to reports, the club also risks being denied ticket sales to away fans for a UEFA-sanctioned match if another incident occurs within a one-year probation period.
