Golf legend Tiger Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and later released on bail after being involved in a traffic accident near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida, according to Swedish media reports. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when Woods reportedly drove his Land Rover into another vehicle on a two-lane road near his residence. His vehicle rolled over onto the driver's side, but the 50-year-old golfer managed to crawl out unharmed from the passenger side.
Police confirmed that Woods was not injured in the accident. He was released on bail just hours after his arrest. In Florida, individuals must be detained for at least eight hours before they can be released on bail.
The arrest comes weeks before this year's first major golf tournament, the US Masters.
