Igelström reportedly thanked the Swedish embassy in Doha for their cooperation during the tensions. The situation comes as many Swedes in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates find themselves stranded due to closed airspace following regional conflicts. While many seek to leave, Igelström has chosen to remain, citing her commitment to her work and the community that has welcomed her family.
