Summer Marl-Brock, David Brock, and Aaron Evans planned and carried out a brutal assault on Benjamin Edwards on August 17, 2024. All three pleaded guilty to Section 18 Wounding with intent. David Brock and Aaron Evans attacked Edwards in his car, punching, kicking, and biting him on the face.
Summer Marl-Brock lured Edwards by calling him for help, claiming she was alone after drinking, and arranging to meet at shops in Ewloe, Wales. '. During the assault, Marl-Brock laughed and filmed the attack until she was satisfied it had gone far enough, then called for it to stop as it became out of control.
Edwards suffered injuries including hemorrhaging to his eyes, bruising and swelling to his face and head, a small jaw fracture, bite marks, and a wound to his ear. He reported ongoing psychological effects including trouble sleeping, nightmares, panic attacks, and difficulty with social situations due to the assault. Summer Marl-Brock and Edwards had a 12-month relationship that ended acrimoniously, with accusations of violence from both sides.
David Brock has 14 convictions for 29 offences, including assault, driving offences, malicious communication, a public order offence, and possession of an offensive weapon.
