Key Points
  • Andrew Emerald faces eight counts for threatening Mar-a-Lago in Facebook posts and is accused of threatening to burn it down.
  • Kadrioan Santiago allegedly threatened Trump and ICE agents while amassing weapons and was caught with a large cache.
  • Michael Kovco is accused of sending threats to assassinate Trump and behead his son through the White House website.

Andrew Emerald, 45, was charged in an eight-count indictment over Facebook posts where he allegedly vowed to travel to Mar-a-Lago resort if President Trump did not die by 2026, according to court documents. He is also accused of threatening to burn down Mar-a-Lago, based on Facebook posts cited in the indictment. Emerald was arrested at his home in Great Barrington on Wednesday morning by FBI agents from the Joint Terrorism Task Force, multiple reports indicate. He was indicted by a federal grand jury on eight counts of interstate transmission of threatening communications over posts from May to July 2025, the indictment states.

Emerald pleaded not guilty in court and was held without bail, according to major media reports. He will face a detention hearing on Monday, according to the court schedule. The FBI found Andrew Emerald from a tip by a citizen, prosecutors' documents cited by major media indicate.

Either Trump is dead and in the ground by 2026 or I am hunting him down and putting him there.

In a separate case, Kadrioan Santiago, 23, from Berea, Kentucky, allegedly made threats to murder President Donald Trump and 'feed' his face to 'stray dogs', prosecutors told major media. Santiago allegedly made threats while amassing weapons including rifles and other tactical equipment, authorities said. His threats extended to ICE agents, according to a Justice Department press release.

Santiago had been posting a series of politically violent threats and statements on Instagram between January 2026 and late March 2026, the Justice Department press release stated. He was apprehended during a traffic stop on April 14, police reported.

When I see to it that Trump is put to death. It will be the the day the purpose creation put me here for beyond creating. My daughter is fulfilled. (because what she is destined to do for the world is far greater than mine, taking out the orange menace!)

Officers discovered a substantial cache of weapons on Santiago's person, including a handgun, an AR-15-style rifle, an additional long gun, multiple magazines, a Kevlar helmet, gas masks, and various survival gear, the sheriff's office said.

Michael Kovco, 29, a Chicago man, has been arrested after allegedly sending chilling threats to assassinate Donald Trump and behead his teenage son in a string of messages to the White House, federal prosecutors said. Kovco is accused of threatening to shoot the president with a 'high caliber sniper rifle' and track down Barron Trump in order to kill him, according to federal prosecutors. He sent multiple electronic threats through the official White House website in March, targeting Trump, his family and Secret Service agents, authorities reported.

Kovco was arrested on April 3 and charged with transmitting a threat in interstate commerce, multiple reports confirm. Prosecutors are seeking to keep Kovco in custody pending trial, according to major media sources.

Key unknowns remain in these cases, including what specific evidence, beyond the social media posts, links the defendants to imminent plans or capabilities to carry out the threats. The mental health statuses or medical histories of the defendants have not been disclosed, and it is unclear how these might factor into their cases. Authorities have not indicated any connections or coordination between the different defendants, leaving open whether these are isolated incidents.
