Gwent Police have launched a murder investigation after a 36-year-old man died following what was described as 'a physical altercation' in Tredegar town centre, Blaenau Gwent, Wales. The incident occurred between 10pm on Friday and 2am on Saturday. Three men, aged 18, 19, and 51, all from Tredegar, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The three arrested men remain in police custody. The family of the victim is being supported by specialist officers. Detective Chief Inspector Robin Fuller stated that the investigation is in its early stages.

He added that police are working to establish the full circumstances. Police are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was in the area of Castle Street, opposite the Castle Hotel and Jem's jewellery, between 1am and 2am on Saturday. Officers are also requesting dash-cam footage from the public.
