Police reported that the involved parties were not injured, and emergency services were on scene. According to Anders Fiskvik, operations manager at the police in Trøndelag, the police are arriving and there are no reports of serious injuries for now. Traffic was slow passing by northbound, and the exit lane was closed.
Fiskvik added that it is mostly about traffic challenges, with the exit lane closed. The Road Traffic Center initially closed the Væretunnelen in both directions, with the southbound lane closed for traffic diversion on site. Erlend Karlsen, a traffic operator at the Road Traffic Center, stated that the accident happened just north of the tunnel and before the exit at Leistadkrysset.
He explained that the tunnel is closed to make accessibility easier for emergency services. Long queues were already forming from the Grilstadtunnelen, according to an Adresseavisen photographer. Police are waiting for vehicle recovery on site, but the cause of the accident and details on minor injuries or property damage remain unknown.
It is unclear when the road will fully reopen or what specific emergency services are involved, and any ongoing investigation has not been confirmed.
