Teracom reports strong 2025 financial growth despite Tele2 exit revenue loss
Key Points
  • Teracom's Q4 2025 operating revenues increased to 423 million kronor, with full-year operating profit rising to 90 million kronor.
  • The company compensated for a nearly 200 million kronor revenue loss from Tele2's exit through strategic shifts and growth in new areas.
  • New initiatives include pilot projects with the Swedish Armed Forces and other authorities, while financial details show mixed cash flow and a higher dividend proposal.

Teracom's Q4 2025 operating revenues rose to 423 million Swedish kronor, up from 377 million in the same quarter the previous year, according to official sources. Full-year operating profit strengthened to 90 million kronor, compared to 49 million in 2024, with the company attributing this to commercial successes and a reduced cost base. Tele2 left the terrestrial network on January 1, 2025, resulting in an annual revenue loss of nearly 200 million kronor in the Broadcasting services in radio and TV segment, official sources confirmed.

This loss was largely compensated by effects from a transition program and strong growth with expanded assignments and deliveries, primarily within preparedness assignments, communication services, and new contracts in digital services. Teracom clarified its strategy and partially changed direction during the year to meet the needs and demands from principals. In collaboration with the Swedish Armed Forces, a pilot project was initiated for the development and operation of a scalable, application-based command support system in its own cloud environment, according to official sources.

Other actors have shown interest, and similar pilots are now being developed with another authority. Full-year 2025 cash flow from operating activities amounted to 746 million kronor, down from 766 million the previous year. The board intends to propose to the annual general meeting a dividend of 71 million kronor, an increase from the previous year's dividend of 62 million kronor.

Q2 2025 revenues were lower than the previous year, at 355 million kronor compared to 367 million, as expected. According to a press release, CEO Johan Petersson described the result, stating that there is a lot of hard work behind the good result and that the company will continue to face challenges while streamlining operations and developing services. Specific challenges Teracom anticipates facing in the future remain unclear, and details of the new contracts in digital services that contributed to growth have not been provided.
