Police in Gothenburg, Sweden, have issued bans against ten IFK Gothenburg supporters, according to SVT Nyheter. The bans, known as vistelseförbud, prevent them from being in areas near the team's matches, including central Gothenburg and the training facility Kamratgården, during home and away games. The bans reportedly last for six months for some individuals.
An official, Maria Thorell, stated that the supporters belong to groups classified as criminal networks, and there is a 'påtaglig risk' (tangible risk) they will engage in criminal activity in these areas. Several of the individuals have previous convictions or have had match bans. Police have reportedly changed their approach to focus more on organized crime linked to football, classifying three IFK Gothenburg supporter groups as criminal networks.
