Teenager Seriously Injured in County Durham Construction Accident

The incident happened just before 1pm on Thursday, April 16. Emergency services, including an ambulance crew, a specialist paramedic, two clinical team leaders, a duty officer, and the Great North Air Ambulance Service, responded to the scene. The teenager was given first aid at the scene and transported to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where he remains in serious condition. Durham Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched an investigation into the incident.

The injured person is a subcontractor's employee. Bellway and Esh Group are assisting police and the HSE with their enquiries.
